David Karnauch is originally from New York state and loves adventure. He happened to be in New York City with family and friends visiting for a day when he decided that a nice picture for his instagram would make the day extra special. He climbed a bridge and took an epic selfie with the New York City skyline in the back drop. The picture itself looks great and David looks like the happiest person alive. Today however David sits behind bars because of "reckless endangerment" and is being brought to New York for trial. His family is going through deep pain all because of a picture and our tax dollars are being wasted for no good reason to bring an innocent man in for trial. A trial that is more pointless than a stop sign on a straight desert road. Why not donate that money to the city of Binghamton (where I first met David as a kid) or to the city of New York to develop great schools and great jobs for those who reside there. People need help in this country and making an innocent man and his family suffer is no way to show aide to the helpless. Governor Cuomo I ask you personally along with those who have signed this petition to please step in and grant amnesty to a man who just wanted a nice picture of the greatest city in the United States of America.
