Anderson Township Concerned Citizens
Jan 3, 2016
Forest Hills School Board is going to bring up for vote at a special meeting Monday morning – Janurary 4th at 7am - to stop any further efforts toward determining the realistic feasibility of the Anderson 2020 Plan.
From the last meeting held on October 15th with all the parties, it was decided that the plan appeared doable but the next step was to hold a “negotiating” meeting with all parties to fully vet the plan and determine if it is truly feasible (logistically and financially). This meeting was never scheduled. The school board should NOT kill the deal until this meeting is held. This is a once in a lifetime option that is worth the time, effort and cost to research thoroughly.
Here is the role of our school board:
• First and foremost school boards look out for students. Education is not a line item on the school board’s agenda – it is the only item.
• School boards are the education watchdog for their communities, ensuring that students get the best education for the tax dollars spent.

SUBJECT: RE: Do not abandon the Anderson 2020 Plan – schedule the legal expert meeting
Message:
Dear Forest Hills School Board Members:
As a concerned resident of Anderson, I respectfully ask you to hold the “next step” meeting to determine the true feasibility of the Anderson 2020 Plan before abandoning the plan altogether.
Thank you,

Resident
The message being seeded from the school board is that the “numbers don’t add up”, yet preliminary assessment from the developers say otherwise. Why wouldn’t we have this next meeting to determine the truth? And if the numbers are indeed there, why wouldn’t we pursue this option?
Unfortunately, personal agendas and power struggles appear to be at the root of why our township and school board leaders are willing to let this opportunity pass. Time is critical and every voice matters.
Thank you.
