The Issue

Introduction

“Success in creating effective AI, could be the biggest event in the history of our civilization.” – Stephen Hawking

Hey people, my name is Chet. I’m originally from San Francisco, academically self-taught, and although I’m relatively young and impressionable, I’m full of knowledge beyond my years. I’m compiling this petition because I envision, to quote Timothee Chalamet from the 2005 movie, Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory, “a world of pure imagination.”  AI is currently revolutionizing the way we interact with the world and with each other in such new and exciting ways. Less time wasted on menial tasks and endless amounts of information, art, entertainment, and creativity right at your steely fingertips – it’s amazing how many benefits from AI there are for every use case out there! It’s not just the present advantages of AI, but the transformation to the future of life and society as we know it that I propose we expand and adopt implementation of AI to all applicable aspects of human life.

AI Today

“It is difficult to think of a major industry that AI will not transform. This includes healthcare, education, transportation, retail, communications, and agriculture. There are surprisingly clear paths for AI to make a big difference in all of these industries.” – Andrew Ng

As of today, in 2026, Artificial Intelligence is widespread throughout the digital and physical world. Tech companies like Meta and Amazon are prioritizing it as a key conduit towards greater overall efficiency. In non-tech fields as well, this initiative has transcended through legal, health, and education professions, to name a few. While the term AI is used quite broadly now, it can simply refer to:

-          A large language model like ChatGPT

-          An engaging virtual chatbot

-          Machine learning algorithms on Netflix or Instagram

-          Information retrieval and summarization functionalities on search engines like Google.

-          Language translation

In such applications, AI is phenomenal at enhancing your happiness and productivity – it can do this by making your:

-          Workday more efficient

-          Daily chores less monotonous

-          Social media consumption completely tailored to your interests

-          Learning, studying, and reading more comprehensive

With fewer grueling days on the job, you have more time to sit back in your La-Z-Boy and focus on basic human needs like, for example, fun and entertainment, like those funny hypno cat videos on Tiktok or Terminator 3 on Amazon Prime!

In addition, recent advancements have enabled the ability to:

-          Autogenerate communication between friends, family, and coworkers

-          Ensure cyber security of your family, home, wealth, and electronics

-          Drive your car on autopilot

At this rate, you don’t have to control anything – you can just let AI take the proverbial wheel! It’s really incredible how much agency you can offload to AI agents now!

While many say AI is a bubble, that is provably false – AI is ubiquitous and is not going away any time soon. In fact, the Facts and Knowledge Embassy estimates that by 2030, 99.99% of all humans will use AI as part of their daily lives. Furthermore, the National Oracle Tackling Regulation, Ethics, and Legislation, an emerging legal prediction market, hypothesizes that the U.S. in particular will enact laws to regulate AI. Smart! AI should be a regular part of society! They even cite that the First Amendment, freedom of speech specifically, expands protection to AI proliferation as well. Since AI is trained on trillions of human-created corpora, it’s all originally human-protected speech anyways – the AI output is just modified slightly similar to collaborative efforts in academia.

Honestly, I think we should completely embrace these predictions. In the last six years alone, there’s been a total reformation in our society – a new lease on life and thinking. And us humans are intelligent – we created AI after all! Let’s continue and even expedite this AI revolution going forward and see what other improvements to our lives we can make.

The Future of AI

“We see a future where [artificial] intelligence is a utility…” – Sam Altman

For this petition, and in conjunction with my belief that AI will continue to change the world, I did a whimsical thing and took the time to brainstorm and generate some future life-changing innovations that AI can enable. Imagine a world like this cool picture!

-          Autonomous flying cars

-          Automated high-speed rails (look, no guardrails… wow!)

-          AI integrated networks and infrastructure.

I bet that you can feel through your screen how warm that grass would be. Now this is a highly functioning, well-controlled society!

Anyways, one of my main ideas is that AI will develop even further in the sectors it is currently rooted in. Healthcare and education, for instance, could easily benefit from an all-knowing source of truth and intelligence. Imagine an AI agent named… Dr. Know! At the click of a button or entry of a prompt, it can tell you exactly what ailment you have or what piece of information you want to learn. Best of all, it would be virtual too, so everyone has access to it. No more exorbitant hospital bills or tuition. And no more narrow specialization in either field – AI would dominate the world of health and academia!

Another vision I have is that the limits of creativity and imagination in the arts will extend beyond what was once thought humanly possible. One can see how generative AI has already become a stalwart in entertainment, art, music, and literature: new combinations of compositions, variations of videos, and permutations of prose. Going forward, I believe AI will answer the call that the arts, throughout history, have always beckoned for – a seismic wave of avant-garde, neoclassical, artistic disruption. In doing so, AI would catalyze an infinite disturbance to current artistic norms. As such, I believe that we’ll soon have to shift towards proper recognition of these works:

-          Museums of generative art

-          Libraries of generative novels

-          Archives of generative documents

I even came up with some examples just for fun!

-          The Hallucinogenic Toreador by Salvador DALLE

-          Slaughterhouse – X by Grok and BERT Vonnegut

-          “The Sweet ESCape” by Qwen Stefani

These sites and pieces would all be contained within virtual metaverses, of course. Imagine all that access to limitless creativity!

Finally, I see a complete adoption and acceptance for AI usage. As transformational as the original iPhone was, soon will be that every person will have their own personal AI agent. We’ve already seen the limited introduction of this with smart phone apps for LLMs and with wearable products like Meta Glasses and Apple Vision. However, I predict that everyone will have AI embedded with them in the future, whether that be in superficial applications like glasses and headgear or with advanced internal body enhancements. To expound, the ability to install AI capabilities in oneself, like with Neuralink, will become much more readily available and socially acceptable. Imagine having the capabilities of a supercomputer – like Iron Man or Cyborg – how cool is that! Instant access to all the world’s knowledge, skills, and entertainment. This also allows other people to sync up with you and your AI agent, kind of like Bluetooth, but a totally new type of “peer to peer”, “gear to gear”, “peer to gear” connection. We can then all communicate actively and passively with each other with the instant help of your AI agent. No more:

-          Awkward small talk

-          Indecision in a fight or flight situation

-          Debilitations like sadness, anger, and anxiety

People today are already very comfortable with cosmetic surgeries, and this is not just a makeover, but a total body revitalization with so much more functional capability. This could be the new Real You and this could be the new Real World!

At the current rate of AI modernization, these ideas may be just around the corner. Who knows! Most inventions start simply as novel ideas or science fiction then get taken and actually created, like Mark Zuckerberg with Facebook or Johannes Kepler with heliocentrism! Funny enough, at the time of compiling this petition, the President of the United States, Donald Trump, released some of his future visions for AI as well!

-            Creating a branch of the military called the “AI Force”

-            Appointing an “AI Czar” to lead the AI Force

-            Renaming Artificial Intelligence to something more appropriate for our modern era like “Superior Intelligence”, “Extreme Intelligence”, or “Supreme Intelligence”

I love it! Great ideas, Mr. President! We may soon become the U.S. of A(I)! Again, all it takes are a bunch of silly little ideas that sprout and manifest into something truly transformational and disruptive! However, I understand there may be some hesitation and skepticism. I can dispel some of those common concerns and questions about AI for you if you’d like?

AI Concerns and Questions

“Some people worry that artificial intelligence will make us feel inferior, but then, anybody in his right mind should have an inferiority complex every time he looks at a flower” – Alan Kay

Can I trust AI and the people in charge of making it?

Certainly! AI is more knowledgeable and trustworthy with every new model released. While there regularly is a label that says not all AI-generated content may be accurate or precise, one can simply refer to another AI agent for additional validation. On top of that, some of the new AI models are called a “mixture of experts” meaning they do the validation for you by referring your query to one or more of its specialized models depending on the words and semantics in your prompt. For example, if you ask a question about astrology, you’ll get an answer from the world-leading AI mathematician and scientist. Or if you want to know why you’re feeling sick to your stomach, you have the world’s best AI doctor, therapist, and life coach right there all on call for you. Imagine having multiple subject matter experts always willing to answer your questions!

As for the trailblazers of AI, these are some of the smartest people in the world. No wonder they’re at the forefront of revolutionizing society as we know it. Ultimately, I believe in the good in people, and I think we can trust their acumen and intentions. Just look at these smiles!

Is AI inherently good or evil?

Neither. There is no concept of morality to a machine or an algorithm – that is a human trait that can’t be anthropomorphized. People are in control of good and evil. So, no need to worry! Although, in my personal opinion, AI is inherently good. For all the benefits stated earlier, AI is here to change human lives for the better. And if people use AI for evil purposes? Then, as AI pioneer Jürgen Schmidhuber asserts, “[AI] can also be used against the bad actors.” That’s true because if we’ve learned anything in America, the only way to stop a bad guy with AI is a good guy with AI!

Can AI become too powerful?

The word “too” seems to be a typo in the context of this question. AI can become very powerful and that’s a good thing! It’s human nature to be concerned about change – that’s normal. However, people must be prepared for AI to make a metamorphic difference in our lives soon. At this rate, it will metastasize throughout society like a cell traveling through your body. Hopefully, that’s a metaphor you can understand.

Will AI lead to us losing basic knowledge and skills?

Not at all. If anything, AI will enhance your basic knowledge and skills. With every invention throughout history, humans have either retained or reframed their knowledge and skills that the inventions sought to simplify. For example:

-          Humans still walked and ran despite the invention of the car

-          Humans still hunted and gathered significantly when agriculture was introduced

-          And humans still communicate with one another, even more efficiently I might argue, when the phone, texting, email, and social media became commonplace

The evolution of AI is just another iteration in this pattern – while it may change our perception of our skills, it won’t lead to us losing any of them. Similarly, because of AI’s access to all the world’s data, our knowledge can only be strengthened from using it.

As an aside, as AI usage increases, I do believe at some point we will have to distinguish between organic (human) intelligence and artificial intelligence – i.e. an O-IQ score versus and A-IQ score. Or even better, we could somehow combine the two into some standardized metric – a singularity score, for instance. That would make things easier for everyone as we’re all on the same plane of understanding.

Will AI lead to us losing independent thinking?

Not one bit. Thinking will always be YOUR thoughts. Using AI will always be YOUR idea. Watching the movie Inception will always be YOUR decision. On the contrary, AI will only enhance and reshape some of your pre-existing thoughts in a sort of symbiotic relationship. When everyone has their own personal AI agent, you and AI can be one with each other in order to solve all the world’s problems. Eventually, the great minds of old generations, Aristotle, Confucius, Socrates, will be synonymous with the forward thinkers of the next generation: Alexa, Copilot, and Siri.

Any other questions?

Will I lose my job eventually to AI?

It depends on the field, but in short, no. In long, still no, however be prepared because your job title may change. For instance:

-          Instead of Senior Software Engineer, you could be a Senior Software Prompter

-          Instead of Exobiologist, you could be an Exobiologist Prompter (EX PRO, for short)

-          Instead of Regional Manager, you could be an Assistant to the Regional Manager

-          Instead of Assistant Regional Manager, you could be an Assistant to the Assistant to the Regional Manager

Again, just a title change. Some jobs with high volumes of service demand like help desk representatives and fast-food cashiers may just get some extra help – like an ATM did for bank tellers. Wouldn’t you be in favor of that?

Is AI bad for the environment?

This is too broad a question. It would be best if it was clarified some.

Are AI data centers threatening the environment?

No, data centers don’t use any more energy than our current fossil-fuel intensive infrastructure. In fact, in a University of Northern Rhodes Environmental Affiliate of London study on data center environmental impact, it was found that most existing data center locations are statistically carbon neutral. In construction of these centers, flowers, shrubbery, and trees are planted around the perimeter offsetting the total carbon waste. So, in effect, creating a data center – it’s like killing a few birds with one big stone.

Plus, constructing more data centers requires hiring more people for jobs. Weren’t you just complaining about a loss in jobs?

Does AI use too much energy?

No, energy is neither created nor destroyed – this is the Law of Conservation of Energy.

Does AI use too much water?

No, water is similar to capitalism: you have to spend it to make it – this is the Water Cycle.

Is current AI usage sustainable?

Yes. I just answered that. Anything else?

Will AI lead to warmer global temperatures?

Yes, and? We’re right next to a 10,000-degree ball of fire that’s gravitationally pulling us closer and closer by the second – the Earth is going to be hot.

Alright no more questions, I’m fried. This is my platform and this Q&A is over.

Conclusion

“Machine intelligence is the last invention that humanity will ever need to make” – Nick Bostrom

AHEM. Hopefully after reading this petition, you, the reader, have a greater sense for both the current impact of AI as well as the future potential. AI is the most transformative human invention to date – it’s truly an exciting time to be alive, which is why we need to continue accelerating. The power is in your hands right now to not only sign this petition, but to keep iterating, to keep innovating, and to revolutionize the world by embracing AI for the betterment of humanity!

To finish off, I’ll leave you for now with this original quote of mine.
