I would like to stop the mandate of the covid-19 vaccine from coming to Massachusetts.

The Issue

As a single mother it is imperative that I work, and my daughter goes to daycare. They go hand in hand. Every single year we take our flu shot because it is mandatory for daycare. The Flu shot is safe, and FDA approved. The scary thing about the covid-19 vaccines is that they aren't yet FDA approved. This info is available on the CDC website. I have asthma and my 4-year-old daughter has a heart murmur that we monitor every year since she's been born. So, because we have underlying medical conditions, I am afraid to put a vaccine in my body. The strength of the covid-19 vaccine causes some people with underlying medical conditions to have still passed away after being fully vaccinated. I don't think it's fair to force this onto the general public. This proposal will protect people that have disabilities, members of certain racial and ethnic groups, elderly, and people with underlying medical conditions, such as my daughter and me. In America the land of the free I believe we should be in control over our health decisions and make choices we believe will keep us safe at our own discretion. Last year her father and I lived together and when he caught covid-19 he quarantined at home, however; my daughter and I didn't catch the virus. I believe that if I continue the same practices such as washing my hands, disinfecting my house, and wearing my mask; I will continue to stay healthy. Please stand together with me to keep Massachusetts a state of pro-choice. It's our body so it should be our choice! As a single mother it is imperative that I work, and my daughter goes to daycare. I don't think it's fair to force this onto the general public. Not only that it is a violation of HIPPA laws to ask a person about there previous medical history. So, this is a major violation of our rights as Americans.
