The residents of DSCC 301 feel it it unfair the City of Whitby requires us to pay for private garbage pick-up as we are seen as a townhouse/condo, however according to the Durham region website, they state the following:

We pick up blue boxes, green bins, yard waste and garbage in:

Ajax
Brock
Clarington
Pickering
Scugog
Uxbridge

We pick up only blue boxes in Whitby and Oshawa. We work with both communities to make sure the programs are the same across our region.

We would like the Mayor of Whitby to amend the by-laws to include Townhouses and Condos to be included in all garbage pick-up.
