There's been an influx of new signatures to the petition so firstly I wanted to say a massive thank you to all of you. It means so much to have the support of each and every one of you, helping to make the digital world a safe and transparent place for our young people
I just want to remind you to share with your own networks; friends, family colleagues, if you're comfortable to do so. Each signature is so important.
I also wanted to highlight a few reasons why people have signed the campaign. The words are their own:
"Counselling young people who think they are '"ugly" or "not good enough" is heart breaking. No one should feel bad about themselves because they have compared themselves to impossible ideals."
"It is essential that people can have realistic and not distorted body images. Anorexia Nervosa has the highest mortality rate of any mental health condition. Compelling empirical evidence, don't you agree?"
"My daughter is suffering first hand from unrealistic expectations."
The good news is that the Digitally Altered Body Images Bill is currently awaiting it's second reading in the houses of parliament and the Prime Minister has recently referenced how important this is in Parliament.
You can read the latest on the Bill here:

As always I will continue to shout about this issue from the rooftops until change has taken place. I have spoken about this as often as I can and will continue to do so. The priority currently is raising awareness of this issue and the ability for change. If you have any suggestions that may help, please do contact me at s_samaka@hotmail.com
