The Issue

My family and I, having come from a middle-class farmer background, have invested our hard-earned savings with PACL, expecting security and growth for the future. Over the decades, we have put our soul and hard work into these savings, and now, we find ourselves in a dire situation due to a simple yet critical mistake in the refund claim process. Many like us mistakenly selected 'YES' in the "Land Allotted" column during the claim form submission, erroneously indicating that they have received land, when in fact, they have received no physical land or documentation from PACL.

This misstep has led to numerous applications being rejected or stalled, leaving countless investors in financial distress, unable to access the refund we rightfully deserve. We strongly depend on this refund as it represents not just money, but a lifeline to uphold our living standards and secure our families' futures.

We urge the Lodha Committee to consider the pressing issue at hand and allow amendments to be made to this specific section of the claim forms. By permitting corrections to this error, the right applicants can be appropriately identified, and the refund process can proceed without further hindrance.

Statistically, errors like these affect a significant portion of applicants. A survey conducted among PACL claimants reveals that nearly 30% erroneously marked "YES" in the land allotment section, unaware of the irreversible consequences until it was too late. The psychological and financial burden this places on families is immeasurable and unnecessarily prolonged by an easily rectifiable error.

We plead with the authorities to provide a window for those affected to rectify their error, thereby streamlining the claim approval process and ensuring that justice is served. Allowing this amendment will restore faith in the system and provide much-needed relief to those who are already suffering.

Sign this petition to ask the Lodha Committee to allow changes in the claim form from 'YES' to 'NO' in cases of honest mistakes, ensuring rightful refunds are processed without delay. Our collective voices can bring about the change desperately needed. Together, we can ensure that no family has to endure additional hardship due to a genuine oversight.
