We just uploaded our CERB & CEWS FAQ video answering the questions you have sent in about the “Canada Emergency Response Benefit” & “Canada Emergency Wage Subsidy.”

List of Questions

1.) Is the $5,000 minimum earning requirement still applicable after the recent CERB expansion? (Timestamp - 1:20 )

2.) Is the $5,000 minimum requirement after tax or before tax? (Timestamp - 2:51)

3.) Can an employee get rehired under the CEWS, continue to receive CERB if he/she is only working part-time, making less than $1,000 a month? (Timestamp - 3:52)

4.) Why does it only include people making less than $1,000 a month and not $2,000 instead? I am making between $1,000 - $2,000 per month. Will this be addressed? (Timestamp - 7:05)

5.) I was a sole proprietor in Feb and am now incorporated. Can I apply for CWES? (Timestamp - 9:12)

6.) I am an employee of my own company. The sole employee and I pay myself a wage. Can I pay myself using the emergency wage subsidy? (Timestamp - 10:05)

7.) The requirement of making less than $1,000. Is its net income or gross income for businesses? (Timestamp - 11:07)

The last segment of the video was reshot due to a recent update to CERB today!
