Thank You, We Did it! - Message from Jenny Kwan (MP)

In case you missed our last update, the government has expanded CERB’s eligibility to include individuals making $1,000 or less.  This amendment will help many self-employed and part-time workers in need of assistance and go a long way in addressing the moral hazard incentive issue in CERB’s All or Nothing Approach.  Additionally, the government announced that it’s committed to working with provinces and territories to provide essential workers who make less than $2,500 per month with a top-up.

We want to thank you for supporting and sharing our petition with all your friends and family.  I know we’ve said it before, but we honestly couldn’t have done it without you.  I also want to thank everyone who has shared their stories with us and sent us your kind words.  It’s made all our efforts worth it!

A special thanks to Jenny Kwan, MP for Vancouver East, for taking the time to talk to us at length about our issues with CERB, helping us amplify our message, and taking our concerns to Ottawa.  We also appreciate everything that the government has done thus far in assisting Canadians and listening to their concerns during this challenging time.
