Follow us on Twitter & Facebook to get updates on the campaign and #CERB.
Canadians have spoken loud and clear. This "Do Nothing or Get Nothing" approach to CERB does not work! It neglects hard-working self-employed & part-time workers—hurts Canadian consumers. And damages our economy.
Progress Update
As planned, we have begun reaching out to Members of Parliament across Canada to express our concerns with CERB and have outlined a simple solution to remedy the issue without breaking the budget. A couple of MPs have been receptive; however, many have not responded or are prioritizing constituent concerns.
The campaign's focus going forward is to get the petition officially tabled at the house of commons and reach out to the media to tell our story. Meanwhile, we will continue to engage with MPs across the country in the coming days until we get an audience with every single one of them!
Rallying for the Cause
Now we need your help more than ever before! It's no surprise that MPs will pay more attention to an issue if they get multiple citizens expressing the same concern. Hence, we are asking for volunteers that will help deliver our prepared letter to their local MP. If you can help, please reach out to us on Facebook or Twitter and let us know your riding or city in which you reside.
We will provide a copy of our prepared document to send or drop off to your local MP's office. We encourage you to add your personal story to the email or letter and make it known that you are a constituent from their riding.
Media
If anyone that works (or if you know anyone) in a Canadian media company, please give us a shout. We want to pick your brain and ask for your advice.
Social Media
Most of our campaign activities have been on Facebook & Twitter. To reach more Canadian, we need to expand the campaign to other social media platforms. If you have a suggestion or would like to volunteer in helping with that, don't hesitate to get in touch with us.
And if you haven't already, give us a follow on Twitter and a like on Facebook.
It helps broaden our reach and it's a great way to get updates on our campaign’s progress. Plus, it only takes a second.
