So Johnathan Acosta, a good friend of mine, told me about closed captions at the movie theatres and they are just such an atrocity that I had to try and change it, because it seems super unfair and incredibly uncomfortable, now my goal with the petition I started was that all captions are open captions and everyone who needs or enjoys them can watch a movie with captions on the screen and be able to at least watch the movies at decent hours. Like every other movie should be an open caption movie, at all AMC locations. There’s a lot of goals I wanted to reach with the petition but I also emailed AMC directly and this is the response I received. I’m not saying it’s not a good response, I am happy to at least have been heard but I’m going to follow up with them to see if the film programming team is willing to do something to change this arbitrary system for the better. I want to thank anyone who signed and will sign for the support and I’ll keep you posted the minute something changes. We will win this fight.
