Before the pandemic Amazon warehouses/fulfillment centers had a policy in place that cell phones were not allowed on the floor. Meaning they could not be present at work areas. Since the pandemic Amazon has allowed cellphones past checkpoints and any where in the building. As of July 2021, people are still allowed to have their cellphones. It was recently released that they will no longer allow cellphones past a certain point, reverting back to the way things were pre-pandemic. After the incident that recently happened at FedEx in Indianapolis, I believe it is imperative for our safety that workers are allowed to keep their phones on them at all times. Also, to the people who have children/family that they need to check on. There was an incident recently where a lady was at home by herself and a man was trying to get in. Her husband used his phone to confront the person using Ring. The person started making threatening comments and it was a scary situation. It’s situations like that where having your phone is extremely important, for your safety and those you love.
