Dear Supporters,

Thank you for signing and for your support!

We are being heard. Sacha Baron Cohen, a creator of the racist "Borat" film franchise, has had to write to NY Times to explain his choice of Kazakhstan as a target, and his wife, Isla Fisher, made several statements on the same. Of course, what they say is an excuse to continue to normalise & monetise racism (we now know that Amazon Prime Video paid $80m to Sacha Baron Cohen for his "Borat 2").

We are not giving up. "Borat" is wrong, it is racist and we need to continue to educate the Western audiences, mass media and Hollywood on why such content should not exist. We are working on a new initiative, watch this space - I will appreciate your support. In the meantime, below are a couple of updates from the frontlines.

There was extensive coverage of Kazakhstan government embracing the film, this was not reported correctly, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan continues to condemn "Borat" and "Borat 2" as racist and damaging, see more here: https://twitter.com/lolaaskar/status/1322290416264372226

A wonderful illustrator from Kazakhstan created the powerful image below (more here https://twitter.com/wakanstan/status/1323347927088156672?s=20
