🇧🇷 Estamos muito felizes com a publicação do primeiro livro de Lockwood & Cia., The Screaming Staircase, em português brasileiro. Também reconhecemos o cuidado envolvido em levar a série a um novo público. 

É precisamente por isso que gostaríamos de sugerir uma possível revisão do título em português. "A escada da gritaria" pode soar, ainda que por acidente, mais cômico ou caótico (como "algazarra" ou "tumulto"). Em contrapartida, "A escadaria dos gritos" ou "A escadaria que grita" transmitem de forma mais direta a tensão e o clima de terror do título original.

Nossa intenção não é criticar, mas oferecer um feedback construtivo que possa contribuir para que futuras edições reflitam ainda melhor a atmosfera da obra e se conectem com seu público-alvo. ⚔️

🇬🇧 We're excited to see the first Lockwood & Co. book, The Screaming Staircase, translated into Brazilian Portuguese, and we truly appreciate the work that goes into bringing the series to a new audience.

With that in mind, we would like to suggest reconsidering the title in Portuguese. "A escada da gritaria" may sound unintentionally comedic or chaotic (think "ruckus" or "commotion"). As an alternative, "A escadaria dos gritos" ("of the screams")  or "A escadaria que grita" ("that screams") more clearly conveys the tension and eerie tone of the original.

Our intention is not to criticize, but to offer constructive feedback that may help future editions better reflect the atmosphere of the work and connect with its intended audience. ⚔️
