I am a full-time bus driver struggling, like many of us, with the increasing cost of living. Times are hard, and that's why I am calling for employees to have the option to cash in their workplace pensions now to address this crisis. The current financial strain has an acute impact on everyday individuals. According to the Office for National Statistics (UK), rising prices for food and drink, clothing, and household bills saw inflation jump to 3.1% in September 2021, the highest for nearly a decade. Rather than waiting until retirement, immediate access to our workplace pensions would provide timely financial relief for those who choose to avail it. Today we are demanding to be given the opportunity to make this decision on our own. We urge the government and relevant authorities to review the pension policies and grant immediate access where required. Alone we may be helpless, but together we can make noise loud enough to be heard. Don't wait before it's too late, sign the petition now and stand for your right to choose.
