Subject: Appeal to Lift Restrictions on Professional Photography and Videography in Goa

Dear Sir,

We, the undersigned members of Goa's photography and videography community, respectfully request your consideration in lifting the blanket ban on the use of professional photography equipment, specifically DSLRs and other professional photography and videography equipment, in our state.

As Goan businesses deeply invested in showcasing our state's beauty and culture, we believe this ban hinders our ability to create compelling visual content that promotes tourism. We acknowledge and support restrictions in areas with legitimate security concerns, but believe a blanket ban is overly restrictive.

We propose a system where local photographers and videographers with established businesses can register on a government portal thus enabling us to use professional equipment in non-restricted areas. This would allow us to continue contributing to Goa's tourism industry and earn our livelihood while ensuring security is maintained where necessary.

We are confident that a balanced approach can be found that supports both our livelihoods and Goa's tourism interests. We welcome the opportunity to discuss this further with you and your team.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Sincerely,

Photographers and Videographers of Goa
