In the United States, presidential elections are scheduled to be held on the first Tuesday following the first Monday in November every fourth year, however it would be more plausible for the elections to be held on the first Tuesday (which is traditional in the United States) following any given month if a so that "snap elections" and "snap presidential races" can be held over there too if needed, with the timing of the following election automatically reset after any "snap" election.

As an example if a "snap" presidential election was held on Tuesday 13th August, 2024, the following timed election would also be exactly four years later unless a "snap" election was called.

The system needs more flexibility with regards to its timing - snap elections are needed in any country when necessary1
