The Issue

As parents, we want the best for our children. For my daughter, an experience that has made a world of difference in her life is the inclusion in the NASP-certified Archery Club of Edwins Elementary school. She has ADHD, and remarkably, it has allowed her to concentrate better, improve her focus, and excel in a recreational activity that veers away from extreme physical contact sports. The club also taught her to adhere to specific instructions and standards set by NASP, which has significantly impacted her life, teaching her the importance of safety, teamwork, and attention to detail.

The time has come for us, as responsible parents, to give the same opportunities to the children at Bruner Middle School. NASP, or the National Archery in the Schools Program, is committed to promoting international-style archery to motivate students for better academic performance and behavior improvement. Science Daily reveals in a study that archery improves students' physical fitness, boosts their self-confidence, and develops their skills in discipline and concentration.

We acknowledge that our schools must prioritize providing holistic learning environments. By allowing a NASP certified Archery Club in Bruner Middle School, we are enhancing our children's ability to become successful, not only in the realm of academics, but also in personal discipline and respect for rules and regulations - skills that are equally important in everyday life.

Therefore, let's unite as a community and ask that a NASP certified Archery Club be introduced at Bruner Middle School. This can have a considerable positive impact on the lives of our students. Please sign and share this petition!
