I am completely blown away!

I just wanted to give a quick update before Christmas.

I have had a meeting with the Head of Planning who visited me at the gallery this week.

We had a productive meeting so thank you to him for coming in. The huge support the campaign created no doubt led to this personal meeting. 

 I now plan to take the planning refusal to appeal.  So at present there is a stay of execution for the sign. And don't be alarmed if it looks like I have started to paint over it. I was in the process of repainting and restoring when the council decision came in. After three years it needed some TLC. 

I have had a lot of support from local councillors including Mark Johnston, Kate Fairhurst and Michael Blacker. The MP Rebecca Paul has also looked into the matter so thank you aswell.

I would like to wish you all a lovely Christmas.

The gallery is open every day until Christmas and we now have our new exhibition on which has among other pieces a stunning LS Lowry.
