It's hard for us as a community to see the value and vibrancy that live music adds to any place, being stifled in one of our favorite local hangouts - Jimmy's Pizzeria. As a musician, I have firsthand experience of the kind of energy and engagement live performances can bring to an establishment like Jimmy's. Not only does it attract more customers, boosting local business, but it also fosters a sense of unity in the community, something Jimmy's has always strived for.

Statistics show that businesses which feature live entertainment can see a considerable increase in customers and sales. A study by Entertainment Retailers Association found that there was a 3.8% increase in businesses that included live performances as part of their business model (ERA, 2018). Furthermore, data from a survey conducted by UK Music showed that live music events attracted 24 million attendees, which contributed several billion pounds to the UK economy (UK Music, 2019).

We understand that there might be concerns about noise levels and potential disturbances. However, these can be addressed by putting in place sound control measures and reasonable performance schedules that respect the peace and quiet of our community members. Furthermore, my band and various others in our community are ready to hold performances at Jimmy's. These performances won't just provide different options for local live music lovers, but will also help the Pizzeria in reigniting a lively atmosphere, for which it was once known.

It's no longer just about my band, or Jimmy's Pizzeria - this is about breathing life back into our community, our local businesses, through the power of music.
