Allow free use of the church hall without catering restrictions

Allow free use of the church hall without catering restrictions
The issue
In our small community, the church hall stands as a symbol of togetherness, but using it is currently accompanied by a burden. The church requires that anyone wishing to use the hall must employ a catering service designated by the church. This restriction limits not only the accessibility of the space for personal and community events but also imposes a financial burden on many parishioners who simply wish to gather without unnecessary conditions.
For years, the church hall has been a central hub for family gatherings, community meetings, and various celebrations in the community. Yet, the current policy restricts families and members with limited budgets—those who might prefer to prepare their own meals or who do not require catering services at all.
Financial constraints should not prevent our community from gathering and celebrating together. The ability for parishioners to use the hall freely, without any strings attached, would restore a sense of community ownership and allow us all to make use of the building's facilities as intended—for community enrichment and bonding.
By allowing families and community members to use the church hall without mandatory catering services, we would ensure that the space is utilized to its fullest potential, making it a beacon of community spirit and unity.
We urge the church leadership to reconsider this policy and extend the privilege of free, unconditional use of the church hall to all parishioners. Please sign this petition to support a more inclusive and accessible space for all members of our church community.
