Allow Female Veterans to Portray Historical Military Figures in HBO War Mini-Series

The Issue

As a proud Air Force veteran, I have always cherished the sense of patriotism that comes with watching HBO War shows. These series not only entertain but also educate and inspire millions about the valor and sacrifices made by our military personnel. However, there is a significant gap in these narratives - the representation of women who served bravely in our military.

Women have been serving officially in the U.S. military since 1901, and their contributions are often overlooked or underrepresented. It's time we change this narrative by opening up opportunities for women who officially serve/have served in the military to portray historical female figures in America's military pastimes on an HBO War mini-series.

This initiative will not just honor our past-time female war heroes but also instill a deeper sense of achievements among current and future generations of servicewomen. By reintroducing their accomplishments during a time when women serving alongside men was frowned upon, we can set a timeless example that serving with pride is also a woman's prerogative in every branch of the military.

Let us ensure that these stories are told authentically by those who understand them best - our brave female veterans themselves. Sign this petition to support equal representation and honor for all those who serve!
