Christina Marie Houlahan is an accomplished American politician, engineer, and former United States Air Force officer. She serves as the U.S. Representative for Pennsylvania's 6th congressional district, which encompasses most of Chester County and parts of Berks County, including Reading. A member of the Democratic Party, Houlahan was first elected to Congress in 2018, defeating Republican Greg McCauley. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Engineering from Stanford University and a Master's in Technology and Policy from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Before her political career, Houlahan worked as an industrial engineer at Alphatech and held executive roles such as President and COO/CFO at Springboard Collaborative and Founding COO at B-Lab. Additionally, she served as a chemistry teacher in North Philadelphia schools and was a captain in the U.S. Air Force.
