As an avid Fallout 4 player on PlayStation, I've come to appreciate how much potential mods hold for personalizing and spicing up gameplay. However, the exclusion of external assets for modders hinders us – PlayStation gamers- from accessing the wide variety of mods that our PC and Xbox counterparts enjoy. Sony's policy which restricts use of external assets puts us at a significant disadvantage. Bethesda's 2016 stats revealed that PC and Xbox users downloaded over 50 million mods collectively, demonstrating the robust modding ecosystem that we're missing out on (Bethesda). I believe that every gamer should experience the excitement and innovation that mods bring, irrespective of their chosen gaming platform. Therefore, this petition seeks to persuade Sony to permit the use of external assets for Fallout 4 modders on PlayStation.
