My date and I have invested not just our time and effort but also hundreds of dollars preparing for our high school prom. For my date, this would have been his first high school dance, an iconic milestone that shapes the fond memories of our school years. Unfortunately, due to current school policies, our senior prom dreams are shattered, and this is not an isolated case.
