Allow Dr. Tressler to Complete Her 30 Years of Service to Brevard Schools
Allow Dr. Tressler to Complete Her 30 Years of Service to Brevard Schools
The Issue
Dr. Tressler has dedicated nearly 30 years of her life to serving students, families, and schools in Brevard County. For the past nine years, she has faithfully led Suntree Elementary School with professionalism, compassion, integrity, and unwavering commitment to children.
Under her leadership, Suntree Elementary became more than just an “A” school. It became a safe, supportive, and thriving community where students felt encouraged, families felt connected, and teachers felt supported.
Now, just six months before reaching her 30-year milestone and full retirement eligibility, the Brevard County School Board has chosen not to renew her contract.
To many families in our community, this decision feels deeply unfair and incredibly heartbreaking.
Parents trusted Dr. Tressler every day with the safety, well-being, and education of their children. She consistently put students first and carried the immense responsibility of leading an entire school community with grace and dedication.
After nearly three decades of service, denying her the opportunity to complete her final months before retirement sends a troubling message to educators and employees across the district. When employees are required to plan and provide notice well ahead of retirement, they should not be removed just before reaching the finish line they worked so hard to achieve.
This is not simply about a contract. It is about honoring loyalty, integrity, leadership, and a lifetime of service to children and families in Brevard County.
We, the undersigned parents, families, alumni, staff supporters, and community members, respectfully urge the Brevard Public Schools School Board to reconsider its decision and allow Dr. Tressler to complete her service with the dignity and respect she has earned.
Please sign this petition to show your support for Dr. Tressler and the entire Suntree Elementary community.
