Allow Donut Sales at KHS

The Issue

Today, October 27th, 2022, the new Assistant Principal, Ms. Jones, decided I am no longer allowed to sell donuts on campus and confiscated all of my boxes.

She decided that I am no longer allowed to sell on campus, and so she came to my 2nd period, called me to the office, took both boxes of donuts, and made me fill out an incident report. She then said I'm not allowed to sell them on this side of the street anymore, and have to go down the block to try and sell them instead.

I have been selling donuts for a year, and everyone’s been happy with it. Students have been happy and fine, teachers have even bought some from me, and now she decided that it was suddenly a problem.

I go to such lengths to make sure nobody could get hurt from my donuts, such as making sure there’s no hair on any of them, none with nuts so people don’t end up with allergic reactions, etc.

There’s so much time and effort put into this as well. I get up at 6:00 AM every morning to get donuts before school so that anybody there extremely early can get food, since the breakfast service doesn’t open until around 7:50 AM, a full two hours later.

Some people even sell homemade things on campus, but they haven’t received any disciplinary action. The school rules even state nothing homemade can be distributed on campus. My donuts, however, are purchased from a local donut shop and brought to campus to resell at a lower price. There’s no problems with my business, everybody’s happy, the donut place makes money, and I get to make a small profit on the side to help buy stuff for myself, my friends, and my family members.

Please sign this petition to help protest this disciplinary action, so that I can keep selling donuts to all of the amazing students of KHS, and we can keep having a great morning every day we get to school.
