Most homes have a dog.  Responsible pet ownership is encouraged, yet education is minimal.  Does your local Council provide education to new puppy owners?  We are seeing more dog bites and incidents involving dogs, but less education and bite prevention.

Owner education must start when a new puppy comes home, but how do community members receive such education if local councils will not allow professionals to operate in community facilities?  

Paw Behaviour has provided educational classes in Carrum since 2000, yet is being shut down by Kingston Council without reason.  Classes cannot continue without a venue.  The demand for professionally run puppy classes has grown as people have become more aware of the benefits of positive reinforcement training for pups from 8 weeks of age.  

We would encourage you to sign our petition & spread awareness.  Dog owners need education and we would like to give it to them, but need community venues to be accessible!
