Allow CCD Inc's Adoption Request for City-Owned Vacant Lot at 200 S. Loudon Ave.

Allow CCD Inc's Adoption Request for City-Owned Vacant Lot at 200 S. Loudon Ave.
The Issue
As a devoted part of our esteemed Irvington community, our mission is to heal the H.E.A.R.T. of our neighborhood fabric with creative and sustainable community-based strategies. The primary focus is increasing Homeownership & affordable housing, Economic independence, Agricultural sovereignty, Retail revitalization, and sustaining Tranquil community spaces. We are fully invested in driving our community towards a vibrant, prosperous, family-friendly, clean, safe, and engaging quality of life.
This petition aims to safeguard and enhance our community spaces, specifically a city-owned vacant lot at 200 S. Loudon Ave., 21229. This patch of land currently finds its caregiver, Irvington Community Association at a crossroads. The Association has created a private property atmosphere on public land. To remedy this, we propose that the Cooperative be allowed to submit an early adoption request and ultimately be allowed to submit an unsolicited bid for this lot, with the Irvington Community Association listed as the "Local Steward". This action will ensure that the lot remains a green space perpetually and also, open and accessible to all residents, fostering a larger engagement and shared responsibility among us all. The Cooperative can then ensure the vacant lot can be improved and conserved, benefiting not only the community's look and feel but also its spirit and level of engagement.
Let us work together to continue to uplift our community, carving out spaces where our shared responsibility and love for our neighborhood can bloom. Sign this petition TODAY to support our request and keep our community spaces accessible and vibrant.
