Hello again everyone!

Today I had the chance to meet with some of the faculty of the Department of Modern Languages and Literature, including department chair Dr. Geri Smith. It seems the main concern is the perception that learning ASL rather than a language from an entirely different country lacks the globalization aspect they seek from the requirement. However, they said they would like to have another meeting on the subject, specifically with an ASL teacher here at UCF to provide their perspective. I'll send out another update when there's more to share, but for now, please continue sharing this petition! The more people that speak up about this movement, the better.
