We love K-pop and support all the talented artists who work hard to make music that brings us joy. That’s why we’re upset about what happened at the 2024 Korean World Dream Awards (KWDA). Last year, UNIS, a K-pop girl group, was not allowed to give an acceptance speech or perform a second time after winning the Girl Group Popularity Award. This wasn’t fair, especially when other groups got to do both. A petition last year called “Allow UNIS and EXO Proper Acceptance Speech and Performance Time at Kpop Awards” was started on Change.org to call this out, and it showed how much fans care about fair treatment for all artists.

We don’t want this to happen again at the 2025 KWDA. Every winner, including UNIS and others, deserves the chance to give an acceptance speech and celebrate their award with fans. This year, groups like Stray Kids, who won the Boy Group Popularity Award, and solo artists like Wonyoung and Park Jihyeon, who won the Solo Popularity Award on the Duckad app garnering a billion of votes, should all get their moment to speak and thank their fans. It’s only right that every artist, no matter the category, gets equal respect.

We’re asking the KWDA organizers and the Duckad App to make sure the 2025 awards are fair. Please let all winners, including UNIS, Stray Kids, Park Jihyeon and Wonyoung, give their acceptance speeches and have their time to shine on stage. This will show that the KWDA values every artist and their fans.

What We Want:

 1. Allow every winner at the 2025 KWDA to give an acceptance speech.

2. Make sure all artists are treated equally, with fair stage time for performances.

3. Listen to fans and avoid repeating the mistakes from 2024.
