Allocate Shared Space for Baseball and Soccer Players at Rosemead Park Field #1

Allocate Shared Space for Baseball and Soccer Players at Rosemead Park Field #1
The Issue
My kids, who are passionate soccer players, frequently find themselves dismissed from the outfield at Rosemead Park field #1 by park rangers, even when it's not in use. This situation is not only frustrating, but it's also hindering our children from enjoying their favorite sport freely. Many kids in our community who engage in soccer experience the same issue.
The goal of this proposal is straightforward and feasible -- establishing a small net as a divider on Rosemead Park field #1. This solution accommodates both baseball and soccer players, maximizing the use of the park and fostering a spirit of shared community resources.
Local spaces for outdoor activities are limited, with around 69% of children in the U.S. not having access to park or recreational center within half a mile of their home (Source: National Recreation and Park Association). Sharing resources responsibly allows us to ensure more children get to play, exercise, and enjoy their time outdoors.
This adjustment will promote inclusivity among different sports communities and will enable our children to play soccer, even when the baseball match is ongoing. It's time we make our beloved park more accessible for all sports enthusiasts in our neighborhood.
Sign this petition to support the shared use of Rosemead Park field #1 among baseball and soccer players. Allow our children to continue plating their favorite sports without restrictions. Your signature can help make a difference.
