The Issue

In Durga Nagar colony, Kristareddypet, a thriving community with over 10,000 residents, a pressing need has emerged. Our neighborhood is home to over 3,000 children who have no dedicated play area. Each day, these children miss out on the joy and essential life skills learned through outdoor play because there is no park. Similarly, the spiritual and community bonding that a temple facilitates is sorely missed by many of our residents.

Sadly, despite the available government lands, we have consistently seen these lands being encroached upon and used for private purposes, depriving the community of its rightful public spaces. Over the years, we have made numerous representations to local authorities and leaders, including the MLA, to secure land for a park and temple. However, our appeals have gone unanswered, and each day without these vital spaces is a day lost for our community’s growth and unity.

Our demand is simple yet profound: allocate just one acre of government land for creating a dedicated park and temple. This is not only about infrastructure; it's about giving our children a place to grow, learn, and play safely. It’s about providing our community a sacred space to foster cohesion, provide peace, and strengthen our cultural and spiritual bonds.

Consider the statistics—over 10,000 people without access to such basic amenities as a park or a temple. The value added to our collective quality of life by these facilities cannot be overstated. Cut off from these essential resources, our community struggles against encroachment that prioritizes private gain over public good.

We urge the local government and all relevant authorities to hear our plea and make a commitment towards the betterment of our lives. Let's work together to restore fairness and ensure equitable access to public lands. Join us in this crucial fight for our children, our families, and the very soul of our community. Please sign this petition to help us secure the public land we desperately need for a park and a temple in Durga Nagar.
