Allington Lane railway bridge petition for the introduction of traffic management.

The Issue

After numerous issues over traffic priority, accidents and even deaths on the railway bridge at Allington Lane it's about time Hampshire County Council considered a far higher level of traffic management at this notorious part of the road that causes, road rage, aggression and conflict.

Currently there are no priorities for opposing traffic through this bottleneck.

With the population growth in the area expected to inflate by upto 10,000 people in the One Horton Heath building project, this consideration should be far higher on Eastleigh Borough Council and Hampshire County Councils agenda.

Considering the proposals for narrowing West End High Street and the 6 week planned closure of Allington Lane for pedestrianway improvement near Itchen Valley Country Park I for one feel this is an incredibly overlooked safety aspect of our local area.
