Alligator Caught in Miami-Dade - Now, He May Be Harvested

Das Problem

I recently saw a news report about a male alligator, caught after trespassing at a Miami home.

The alligator was in search for food and because wandered because it's mating season. As a result, he was captured, bound with his front back legs tied behind his back and the chances of a realse back into the wild are practically zero. Instead, he will either be "kept in captivity" or "harvested."

I find this disturbing, largely because this animal did nothing wrong.

The story went on to mention that over one million alligators currently reside in Florida, which seems less like educational information than a potential justification for killing this poor animal.

I have zero confidence that anyone currently involved with this animal's welfare will do right by him.

I'm starting this petition to reach out to a kinder audience who can try to ensure a humane outcome for this alligator and prevent him from being killed because he merely acted upon instinct.
