Failure to Check Authoritarianism

In this age of congressional standstill, House members of all parties recently voted nearly unanimously to table presidential impeachment proceedings, for reasons. This president is openly committing high crimes and misdemeanors on a near-daily basis, including defying Supreme Court orders and rulings. Impeachment is the only Constitutionally acceptable course now. Failure to impeach and remove him for the crimes he has/is/will commit, is categorically and blatantly unconstitutional, & diametrically opposed to the safety and security of our People.

Separation of Powers Undermined

The doctrine of the separation of powers exists to prevent & course-correct to escape these very circumstances. Congress has a moral & constitutional obligation to impeach & remove him from office. We, The People of these United States, elected our legislative representatives to execute that official duty & protect Us from tyrants, as our Founding Fathers designed that they would.

Deriliction of Duty

Failure to bring impeachment proceedings constitutes a deriliction of duty on the part of every House member. We, The People of these United States, demand of every sitting House member that you either resume or bring new impeachment charges, or resign immediately.

We, The People, Employ you, Not him

This president is a dictator. As long & as far as elections are truly free & fair, your Constitients are your employers, not him. We can see you. We can fire you. he acts like that's his power. It is not. Failure to hold power to account is complicity, full stop.

You're Worse Than Empty Chairs

An empty chair has an excuse for just sitting there; you do not. An empty chair cannot vote to pass on impeachment, yet most of you just did. At this point, the empty chair is a stronger barrier to authoritarianism than you. Impeach this president, and any other who would endanger our entire nation as he is, or vacate your seat immediately, and make room for someone who will.
