Justice for Ajima Ogbole and Susan Ogbole

The Issue

I underwent a surgery (myomectomy) in 2017 at AZ Sint -Jan in Brugge (A Belgian Hospital), during which the doctor negligently amputated my cervix without my knowing.  This has resulted in my inability to bear a child naturally and artificially. More sadly, my sister in law who stepped in to be my surrogate in 2020 is also left paralyzed from the same hospital that amputated my cervix.

While my case has been rightfully accepted as a medical error, it has remained unsettled for four years now by a deliberate dragging of the matter by their Insurance Ethias. For my sister-in-law, the hospital is yet to take a stand on accepting liability or otherwise.  The Hospital through their insurance Ethias is sending an orthopedic to review a neurological and anesthesiologic medical case. This seems to suggest that they are yet to take my sister-in-law’s case seriously as she remains paralyzed after our baby’s delivery operation. Upon calling out the Hospital on social media for this grave injustice, we have received a letter with a threat of a lawsuit from the hospital through its lawyer should we continue to call out this injustice done to us

Its time for AZ Sint Jan to take responsibility for the error done to My Sister-in-law and I. Kindly take out time to lend your support by signing this petition for our case to get to the right people and institutions that can ensure we get justice for the error done to us.
