Hawthorne needs a new skatepark. Eucalyptus Park is beautiful but it's not enough for the large skate community in Hawthorne. Sure, we are surrounded by amazing parks all around the South Bay, but there's nothing like your hometown. A small skatepark at Jim Thrope Park, in the style of Darby or Rogers Skate Park in Inglewood or Michael Green park in Long Beach, could change the whole local skate scene.
