Once again, hunters with bows and arrows are sitting in the trees of your neighbor’s backyard if you live anywhere in the Town of Huntington, including Asharoken, Eaton’s Neck, Centerport, Fort Salonga, and Dix Hills.
Hunting is now happening Townwide!!! All of the hunters now know
they do not have to travel upstate to kill deer!
As long as their tree stands are 150 feet from your house, hunters can shoot deer on a consenting neighbor’s property. And the deer might run across your property to die.
Their arrows travel 236 mph, and they only need a 24-hour training
course from the DEC to get their permit to kill!!!!!!!!
This barbaric practice is unsafe for residents and their pets, not to mention your child witnessing a wounded deer running down the road with an arrow in its back or a hunter dragging a dead deer out of the woods right across the street from your home.
Residents at risk is not the solution to the overpopulation of deer!!!
Sign this petition and share it with your friends and neighbors.
Let's put a stop to the dangerous practice of bow hunting deer in our once peaceful communities!
