On Sunday, March 2nd, a 22-year-old mother of two, Aleesha Ann Allen, was arrested for child abuse involving her 11-month-old son. She is currently being held in the Shasta County jail on suicide watch.
Allen allegedly beat her son until he was unconscious while intoxicated on Sunday morning. After the incident, (she facetimed a friend showing her injured son, who took a screenshot and called the police. Edited) Additionally, she allegedly tried to blame her elderly father for the injuries sustained to her son.

The injured boy was taken to the hospital and is now in stable condition. The other child is currently staying with relatives.

The photo of the boy was removed as it goes against Facebook standards. It showed the boy with a black eye and a bruise of knuckle marks on his forehead. Injuries no 11-month-old boy should ever have.

ALEESHA ALLEN ARRAIGNED ON FELONY CHILD ABUSE CHARGE. This afternoon, Aleesha Allen was arraigned on one felony count of Child Abuse Under Circumstances or Conditions Likely to Cause Great Bodily Injury or Death. Allen will be released on Supervised Own Recognizance. She will also be prohibited from consuming any alcohol or contacting the victim. At the request of the DA’s Office she will be subject to GPS monitoring to ensure she does not have contact with the victim. Her next scheduled court date is April 8, 2025, at 8:30 am in Department 24 for plea disposition. Allen was arrested by Shasta County Sheriff’s Deputies on March 2, 2025, after deputies found an 11-month-old child in her care with facial injuries that appeared to be deliberately inflicted and consistent with child abuse.
