Puppy mills are an inhumane high-volume dog breeding facility that churns out puppies for profit, ignoring the needs of the puppies and their mothers. Dogs from puppy mills are often sick and unsocialized. Dogs who are forced to breed are living in tiny, rusty cages in basements or dark barns. These dogs are forced to have litter after litter and when they are no longer able to breed, they are abandoned or killed.

Due to poor sanitation, overbreeding and a lack of preventive veterinary care, the puppies from puppy mills frequently suffer from a variety of health issues, creating heartbreaking challenges for families who should be enjoying the delights of adopting a new family member.

There are STILL 10,000+ puppy mills that are currently active in the United States. 194,000+ dogs are kept solely for breeding. 2 million puppies are sold each year after originating from a puppy mill.

Please sign to urge U.S. Congressman Alcee L. Hastings to shut down all puppy mills once and for all!
