Alaska Airlines - Flight Pass - Oregon, Washington, and California Residents

Alaska Airlines - Flight Pass - Oregon, Washington, and California Residents
The Issue
As residents of Oregon, Washington, we have been routinely overlooked by Alaska Airlines, a Pacific West airline headquartered right here in Seattle. Despite our significant patronage and geographical proximity, Alaska Airlines has yet to offer a premier flight pass program that adequately serves our needs and reflects our loyalty to the airline. This is a program vastly beneficial to Californians and residents of other southern West Coast states, but not to us.
For us, Alaska airlines hold a promise to be convenient, accessible, and reliable. But the lack of a flight pass program for our states disregards our common reliance on this airline for easy and regular travel. Unlike larger states, our areas rely heavily on air travel for inter-state commuting due to our diverse geographical layout, including significant mountains, forests, and bodies of water. Therefore, our dependence on quick and affordable air travel is not a luxury, but a necessity.
A flight pass program for Oregon, Washington, similar to what it offers in California, [It is suggested: Oregon, Washington and California flights] could significantly improve the quality of urban interconnectivity for almost 12 million people living in these states (US Census Bureau, 2018). This adjustment by Alaska Airlines not only signals good business sense but recognizes the value of reinforcing local connections and serving its loyal customers better.
As key stakeholders and loyal customers, we urge Alaska Airlines to reconsider their current offerings and extend a flight pass program to residents of Oregon, Washington, and Utah. This change can greatly contribute to economic growth and personal well-being in our beloved Pacific West. Please sign this petition to show your support for equitable service from Alaska Airlines.
