Civil disobedience? What do we do when the chain saws start? Many of us will protest. Email ann@grovewayneighborhood.org to be on the action alert list of who will be notified when chain saws start. Join in protecting the trees or supporting by witnessing and documenting.

Here are the Ruby Meadow residents on a typical peaceful beautiful nourishing Fall evening. It's their home. A non-profiteer, Eden Housing, Inc., is squandering our public dollars on urban environmental destruction, and plans to kill 87 trees and remove the top 10-feet of soil to build and pave in a liquifaction zone. It would be a crime if residents could get their day in court, but Court is for the rich, and this is a low-income SB 1000 neighborhood, already devastated by the canceled 238 freeway bypass.

How did this sacred natural site by the creek persevere until today in the densely populated East SF Bay area? It is a miracle. So many other vacant and blighted sites in our neighborhood and yet Eden Housing, Inc. and Alameda County Supervisors insist on destroying Ruby Meadow.

The posted notice says destruction will start 9/25/23: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1EPaRKsZ_lxiIw7EJjAWSa4O_umokmL3g/view?usp=drive_link
