Tonight, Thursday 8/24/23 6-7 PM PST, is a chance to put your comments on the record. The developer, Eden Housing, is required to "clean up" some environmental hazards before the County can issue the final building permit and tonight is the a public meeting about the "clean up" which includes killing 80 (yes, eighty) Ruby Meadow trees. You can write or attend. The meeting notice is at the state waterboards link below and in the last petition update.

What statute requires Alameda County/Eden Housing to hold this meeting?
? 1) County Environmental Health (ie Andrew York) says in his message to Eden Housing that as soon as they get past this required public meeting he will submit the approval so they can start destruction before the comment period is even closed,
2) County Planning Director and the County permit center say that the building permit has already been approved, even though this public meeting notice says that the building permit may not be approved until after the meeting,
3) who are we speak against this destruction if the County government, and the billion dollar Eden Housing corp, and the political "air" says housing at any cost? 

Speak your own truth at this meeting--the State Waterboards will be listening, Environmental clean up agencies, and maybe some of those mute politicians too.
