Seven community groups filed another appeal to Save Ruby Meadow that will be heard by the Alameda County Board of Supervisors this coming Tuesday 10/20 at 1 PM https://zoom.us/j/98271491041 They have heard our arguments and don't seem to care. Maybe you signed this petition because you understand how important the earth is--that humans are only one of the creatures trying to survive on mama earth. The billion dollar corporate Eden Housing, Inc. and Its Affiliates used shills to call in last meeting. We need you to call today and Tuesday to zoom in and use your 2 minutes to please tell them these two points
• YES we want affordable housing and
• NO not in Ruby Meadow. There are plenty of nearby vacant lots that are not the last urban riparian habitat and a sacred Ohlone site, and two other large affordable housing developments are coming nearby (saverubymeadow.org).
Amplify the message! Stay united and represent the community voice. We have submitted documents ( 800 pages worth at the previous Planning Commission appeal 8/3/2020) and we have presented demographics and facts to the senior staffs of each of the five supervisors. Amazing how they try to reframe our arguments and ooops give wrong information to benefit their corporation.
