While I am happy that the Civil Aviation Ministry and Air India is responding to media, they have not had the courtesy to contact me directly yet!!! None of the bosses have thought it is necessary to establish contact to me and except from one person in Air India who has responded officially once to my tweet and answered my phone calls when I have called, absolutely no one feels it is good to start some sort of a conversation. This is after more than 3 weeks of the incident. Hard to find words to express my anguish I feel.
Mere "we may issue a directive to airlines to ensure safe carriage of musical instruments,” is not going to help. Instead of taking the lead and showing internationally how serious they are to 'protect' our national treasures, they seem to hide behind the same old rules that I am fighting against. DGCA continues to say that Air India’s policy is to “allow booking an extra seat for safe carriage of special belongings and non-bulky musical instruments and packages,” !!! PLEASE!!!
