HAKI Institute strongly supports initiatives aimed at advancing access to justice, strengthening the protection of human rights, and reinforcing peace, accountability, and the rule of law across Africa.

In this regard, HAKI Institute reaffirms its commitment to collaboration within a continental platform dedicated to coordinating and amplifying civil society efforts toward the ratification of African Union legal instruments across African states. This initiative currently prioritizes advocacy for the African Union Convention on Ending Violence Against Women, with the objective of accelerating ratification processes, strengthening implementation mechanisms, and promoting coordinated engagement among stakeholders across the continent.

We firmly believe that regional cooperation and sustained advocacy are essential to transforming legal and policy commitments into effective protections for women and other vulnerable communities.

We support the Petition and encourage others to sign it.
