On May 9, 2024, the Shenandoah County School Board voted 5-1 to revert to Confederate leaders for our public schools' names in southern campus. The School Board believes they righted a wrong process. The real wrong was done in 1959 when Confederate leader names were first chosen. Mountain View will become Stonewall Jackson and Honey Run, Ashby-Lee, pending complete funding for this reversion.

Now is the time to share this petition and garner as many votes as we can. This petition is particularly for SCPS alum, parents, students, faculty, citizens, or people that conduct business in Shenandoah County, Va. 

Please help! Shenandoah County, Va, doesn't deserve to stop here. Help our county claim names that are non-divisive. Help us to restore Mountain View and Honey Run.
