Advocates call for supporting the students within the Closure of DSIT institute in Iran

The Issue

With the sudden closure of the DSIT Institute in Iran, many students who had participated in its exams are now facing serious challenges. These issues include the inability to receive official certificates, uncertainty regarding unfinished exams, and ambiguity about the future of upcoming test dates.

Students who passed their exams are urgently in need of their German language certificates for migration, study, or job-seeking processes in Germany, yet they have not been able to obtain these documents. The German embassy has provided a declaration for these students, but it is insufficient for those who need to apply to universities or submit documents to employers.

Moreover, some students were unable to complete all parts of their exams due to the institute’s closure, leaving them unsure of the fate of their unfinished exams and the fees they paid. Additionally, students who registered for upcoming exams are now left in uncertainty about whether these exams will take place and how they can recover their registration fees, especially since many do not have the financial means to register again.

So far, a large number of students have emailed and visited the DSIT Institute and the German Embassy in Tehran, seeking solutions, but they have not received any clear responses. These students urgently request that officials find and provide an appropriate resolution to these issues.
