The petitioner, a resident of Leander, TX, seeks your support in gaining full custodial rights for her son, Elijah, who will be turning four on September 1, 2024. Despite court-ordered child support and visitation rights granted to Elijah's biological father through the Attorney General’s office, he has shown no interest or effort in being part of Elijah's life. Presently, the petitioner's husband, who has been an integral part of Elijah's life since March 2022, seeks to legally adopt him. However, this cannot happen without the termination of rights from the biological father. This petition seeks legal support to ensure the child's stable future and wellbeing by allowing the figure who has been essentially a father to him to fully assume this role legally.
